While some of the world’s finest actors celebrate their Golden Globe awards and Oscar nods, another type of celebrity – Celebrity Cruises – is being honored for having the world’s greatest ships.

Miami - (January 23, 2008 ) - On the heels of announcing its industry-first Lawn Club on its new ship, Celebrity Solstice, Celebrity Cruises today celebrates its first-place ranking in the prestigious Conde' Nast Traveler magazine's annual "Top Cruise Ships in the World" readers' poll.

For the third consecutive year, Celebrity Constellation earned the number-one slot in the large-ship category. Sister ship Celebrity Summit tied for the second-place ranking, Celebrity Millennium came in third, and Celebrity Infinity tied for the sixth slot. The rankings effectively place every Millennium-class ship in the brand's fleet in the top 10, and retain Celebrity’s position as the world's top-rated premium cruise line.

Whale WatchingThe Inside Passage

is 1,000 miles of epic scenery, noble wildlife and living history. Our cruise begins in Seattle- The Emerald City combines spectacular natural beauty and cosmopolitan flair like few places can. An outdoor and coffee mecca, Seattle also offers up some of the best seafood anywhere along the Pacific Rim. Named after the great chief of the Suquamish Indians, Seattle enjoys a fusion of American, Asian and Native American cultures you won't likely find anywhere else.

What a way to celebrate July 4- relaxing onboard as you cruise the waters of the inside passage.

As each new bend along the Inside Passage presents a panorama more breathtaking than the last, we arrive in the first port of call, Ketchikan. In addition to being the jumping-off point for seaplane excursions into the Misty Fjords National Monument and its 2.2 million acres of wilderness nirvana, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit tribe. Another "must-see" here is the world's largest collection of totem poles. You can learn what motivates someone to turn a piece of lumber into a towering work of art at the Saxman Native Village and Totem Bight and Totem Heritage Center.

We then visit Hubbard Glacier where we will probably witness icebergs being calved from the glacier’s face.  Our next port of call is Juneau which is a charming blend of cosmopolitan and frontier styles, complete with its own walk-up glacier, the Mendenhall. Just outside Juneau is Tracy Arm, a 30-mile-long fjord adorned with two shimmering glaciers and sprinkled with icebergs.

In Victoria, Vancouver Island- The capital of British Columbia is also its largest island. This one-time British colony has retained much of its colonial splendor. Victoria is a seaside enclave that enjoys a temperate climate. Which is great, because you'll want to explore all the museums, parks and golf courses Victoria has to offer

Ports and cities

Tours

There are many onshore tours available at each port of call. You will be given directions on how to reserve your selected tour, upon arrival on the ship. We recommend that you only select one or two tours in each port so as to allow time to enjoy each historic town. Some of the tours include:

Helicopter rides up to Glaciers and Fjords. You can even land on a Glacier.

Float plane tours through some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

Kayaking along the inlets. This is a great way to get up close with Alaska.

Wildlife and Whale tours are very popular.

Hiking and biking.

White-water rafting along some wonderful rivers.

Guided bus tours are available in each town.

Deep-sea fishing- you are sure to land some nice salmon.

Why did we pick the Infinity?

Infinity is consistently rated in the top 10 cruise ships in the world. The ship features a casino, conservatory, cinema, theater, a health spa, and other public rooms.

AquaSpa SM is a 25,000-square-foot facility with 16 treatment rooms and a fitness center. Treatments offered at the spa include manicures, facials and a range of massages. At the fitness center, guests can hire a personal trainer, and swim in the resistance swimming pool.

Infinity features a two-story-high conservatory, a unique botanical environment designed by Emilio Robba of Paris. The conservatory was created to give guests the opportunity to admire flowers while enjoying a refreshing drink, or collect their own bouquet.

Guests can dine in the main restaurant or in one of the ship's specialty restaurants. Celebrity's specialty restaurants offer tableside cooking, carving, and flambe, and feature a wine cellar with over 175 premium labels from around the world.

Infinity's SS United States specialty restaurant serves an entree first served in the dining room onboard the original SS United States cruise ship during the 1950s: Roast Long Island Duckling a l'Orange Stuffed with Fruit. The restaurant is decorated with glass panels from the SS United States cruise ship.

The ship has one indoor and two outdoor pools, two indoor and four outdoor whirlpools. The Sports Deck has a full-size basketball court, compact football, paddle tennis, and volleyball. The Sunrise Deck has a golf simulator, jogging track, and shuffleboard.
